VMS Solutions acquired Haesung TNS and accelerates the market to the next generation

VMS Solutions acquired Haesung TNS and accelerate market
invasion to the next generation of the SCM(supply chain management) market.
VMS Solutions plans to take a two-track approach to large
enterprises and mid-sized companies by putting 'MOZART SCM', a newly released
next-generation SCM solution, to the fore.
VMS Solutions has a proclamations ceremony for integration
with Haesung TNS and released 'MOZART SCM' in Oct 6.
VMS Solutions CEO Byung-hee Kim said “In terms of
advancement of the existing SCM, using artificial intelligence (AI) will
establish the optimization planning and scheduling system centered on the large
company. And for the mid-sized company market will provide packaged products
that can be built with low cost and low unit price as packaged products.”
The next-generation SCM solution combines the Mozart engine
of VMS Solution, which has been building production plans and scheduling
systems(APS) for more than a decade in Samsung Semiconductor and LG Display,
etc, with Haesung TNS' SCM framework.
The next-generation SCM requires a foreseeable future
simulation platform and an intelligent engine capable of optimal utilization of
resources. Mozart SCM's simulation engine is built on the concept of a Virtual
Manufacturing System (VMS). It is a system with the global competition that is
being used by Micron's semiconductor plant in the US.
Haesung TNS CEO Yo-seop Joo said "If the existing SCM
was to create a static framework, it is important how agile the next generation
of SCM can react dynamically and derive intelligently optimal alternatives.”
Next-generation SCM stands for agile and optimized
decision-making for a fluid environment. In the U.S. market, the existing SCM
is being renewed as a new next-generation SCM. Large manufacturing and
distribution companies such as Walmart and Nike are scrambling to discard the
existing SCM and replace it with a new SCM system.
Major conglomerates such as Samsung Electronics and LG Group
have announced the transition from the existing SCM to the next-generation SCM.
The industry forecasts that the size of the domestic SCM market will grow from
111.9 billion won last year to 214.3 billion won in 2027, growing at a CAGR of
9.7%.
Yo-seop said "I will work with CEO Byeong-hee Kim to
upgrade Korea's SCM by putting all my experiences and know-how into Mozart
SCM."
Meanwhile, SCM is a representative enterprise software (SW)
that has continued to grow along with enterprise resource planning (ERP). Since
Samsung Electronics implemented SCM in 2000, many South Korean companies have
been building SCM solutions and used them to streamline the entire process of
ordering, procurement, and production. If ERP value on management efficiency,
SCM aims to improve operational efficiency.
In particular, in the manufacturing industry, the goal of
SCM was to streamline the operation process from sales forecasting to material
procurement and production planning and to standardize data.
A characteristic of the recent changes in the manufacturing
industry after 20 years is the ' Routinization
of volatility'. Volatility requires companies to make quick decisions. This
means that the operational process requires adaptation to a flexible
environment.
